Apple iPad 2 vs Motorola Xoom vs Galaxy Tab vs Blackberry Playbook - Technology - Cell Phones

While I do not own an electronic tablet, from the reading that I've done, I've drawn some personal conclusions as to which device I think is the best. There are many tablets that are now on the market, including the iPad 2, Galaxy Tab, and Moto Xoom. All are viable options and have their own individual advantages. However, I think that the iPad 2 has a competitive edge over the other electronic tablets.

Apple, the creator of the iPad, concocted the term "electronic tablet" long before the idea caught fire in the mobile industry. I laugh at how the public once scoffed at this obscure concept. Fast forward a couple of years later and the electronic tablet is now one of the hottest devices on the market.

The electronic tablet is Apple's baby, while other companies, such as Motorola and Blackberry, are now trying to get in on the action. Apple conceived the idea, and even though they now have fierce competition, they still seem to have the ability to stay on the cutting edge of the technology.

Apple is known for its sleek style, innovation, and intuitive interface. Because of these factors, many users find the iPad and iPad 2 to be refreshingly simple, yet not lacking in ability and possibilities. The iPad products boast that newbies can easily navigate through the interface and figure things out relatively quickly. It takes intuition, rather than extensive technological knowledge. However, other tablets do not have the same reputation.

Additionally, the iPad 2 is lightweight and has a large, easy-to-read screen. Even though I think that the iPad 2 is the best overall electronic tablet, this device does not necessarily trump all others in every category. For example, the Moto Xoom has the advantage of multiple-tab internet browsing. This makes surfing the web significantly easier and more convenient.

If you're considering purchasing a tablet, I would suggest the iPad 2. However, you must consider what is most important to you. Although I think the iPads are the most user-friendly, it still may not be the best fit for you.

If you're pretty confident that you can navigate through the technology relatively easily and convenient web browsing is the most important factor, the iPad 2 may not be the best choice. In this case, the Moto Xoom with multiple tab browsing may be the most sensible choice for your needs.

Whats your take, CellPig Nation?
