Lower spine problems are common problems in most of the western population and do not discriminate between young and adults. These problems are majority compared to other common spinal problems. Young people suffer from a herniated disc and adults suffer from canal stenosis. In cases of herniated disc, pain radiates along the leg more than in other places; however in cases of canal narrowing (Spinal stenosis) pain is less acute and chronic pains are more experienced, when the patient feels some good and bad periods in his routine. The patient also experiences difficulties in walking (feet fall asleep while walking or standing). Seating, generally make it easier on him. In most cases, over the years there is a gradual deterioration with "shortening" in walking distances. In these age groups, open surgery will involve considerable dangers and endoscopic surgery is significantly better solution.Endoscopic lumbar spine surgery is successful due to a small cut that is made in th e back of about 1 cm. This procedure addresses the narrowing of the spinal canal, herniated disc or a combination of both. During the surgery, an expansion of the canal is performed with a filing of partial resection of the disc if there is a need. In most cases the procedure prevents the fixation or open surgery (conventional Leminektomy). The Incision is taped so there's no need in stitches.Period of hospitalization after surgery in most cases takes less than a day, most patients are walking around two hours after surgery (after awakened from anesthesia) this procedure prevents complications such as pulmonary embolism, and vein thrombosis, especially in the elderly population.
