How to Fix Computer Errors on Your Own in Minutes - Computers - Security

Knowing how to fix computer errors on your own will be a great help in the long run. Most Pc users think that fixing computer problems requires a lot of technical knowledge and a wrong tweak can lead to a disaster. Well, the second part is true but the first is a total misconception.

Some computer users will just carry their computers to the nearest computer repair shop; spend some bucks and wait for a day or two to get their computer fixed. In short, a really big hassle especially if you have important things to do and you cant afford to wait for a day to get your computer up and running.

Computer errors occur when something is not right in the depths of your computer system. Though its true that some requires technical skills to fix, you dont have to do the fixing manually. There are software tools that are free to download that you can use to fix computer problems in no time.

The most common sign of computer error is your computers slow performance. There are many reasons behind this; it could be because disk memory issues, virus infection and the dreaded registry errors.

So, where would you start?

You can check your computers memory status first both the hard disks memory and the Random Access Memory (RAM), if this is the problem then the solution is simple; delete unused files and applications or install additional hard disk or RAM if your motherboard can still carry more. If memory is not the issue then theres a possibility that your system is infected by a computer virus.

You should now scan your computer with an antivirus. It is not recommended that you run or install more than one antivirus because they might suspect each other as a virus, ironic, right?

If your computer freezes before the scan starts or freezes in the middle of the scanning process then you should do a boot scan wherein the scanning process will take place before you reach the desktop interface. Scanning your computer with an antivirus can also detect and prevent virus infection. So, if you think theres something strange with your computer performance, aside from being slow, just hit the scan button.

You might have encountered the "fatal .exe error" or ".dll file error" prompts and made you panic a little bit, if not then I dont think you will panic anymore. These prompts can be scary but they are actually easy to fix. These errors are under the registry errors category and can freeze up or worst shut down your computer. To fix computer errors you should have a registry cleaner, others would prefer to do fix registry errors manually but this is too risky and only the pros or the geeks can do the tweaking.

You can also fix computer errors by defragging your hard disks at least once a month.

Yup, fixing computer errors is not that hard, you have all the solutions in the tips of your fingertips and the software tools to back you up. You can save your money from computer repair or computer replacement as long as you have the urge to try and do it yourself.
