Attend Science Programs in Canada that Will Open Doors - Education - College and University

Science Courses in Toronto are found at a variety of post-secondary institutions and are conducted at different levels. The schools General Arts and Science Science program is designed to enhance students skills in order to attend university by helping them to gain general understanding of college-level science classes.

Within this science program, students participate in a number of courses that are concerned with subjects such as Biology (emphasis is placed on the role of chemistry in daily life and in the development of new technologies and products. Students will be introduced to the classification of matter, chemical nomenclature and qualitative and quantitative relationships involved in chemical reactions) and Chemistry (emphasis is placed on understanding biological mechanisms and processes, rather than on simple memorization). However, students also participate in: Communications, Mathematics, Psychology, Human Genomics and more. Taking eight months to complete, this science program is a great launching pad for a college or university career in science. Students who complete the one-year science program with acceptable academic standing may be eligible to transfer to Centennials Practical Nursing or Pharmacy Technician programs.

You may find this science undertaking useful if you are interested in the fields of health, engineering, applied sciences or transportation and require a solid foundation for further education. To gain entry into General Arts and Science Science, you must possess at minimum an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or be 19 years of age or older. You must also have the compulsory English 12C or U, or skills assessment or equivalent. However, possession of minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to program. Please note that students who have not finished high school or completed required science courses for post-secondary programs might be accepted.
